Humour me, people.
TWICE NOW I Have gone to the hairdressers and said: "I want shoulder length hair with some layers in."
BOTH TIMES they have very carefully cut the two sections of my hair at the front to the shoulders, in two long straight unlayered bits, gradually cutting it shorter in layer towards the back. It looks a bit like this.
I met 2 of my sisters this weekend. I haven't seen them in months. They both had exactly the same haircut.]
Then we went to a party and I swear down, about 1 in 3 women had the fucking thing.
What's going on? Is there a bet between all hairdressers everywhere to do this to people? (It is quite a nice cut, I'll give you that, but one less suited to Jodie 'egg stained floral dress and ropes of battered beads' Harsh is difficult to imagine).
Are all hairdressing schools now teaching one cut?
Have you got it? Did you ask for it? Do we need a revolution? Is the graduated bob the Tahrir Square of hairstyling?
