what should i wear?

i'm going out tomorrow night into town,few beers and will be going to a studenty indieish club.
am going to wear jeans and black boots.what should i wear on top?

come on you youngsters-give me a clue ! or i'll be embarrassing myself in a silver sparky boob tube!

Sorry alexsmum, am 35 years old, never wear black (wrong colour for me) and it's a good 15 years since I went to an indie-ish club, but didn't like to see this unanswered, so bump

ok have sorted outfit-thanks for the replies!have bough a top in a teal colour( i know-the colour of gangrene but it looks nice honest)which has a very deep v-neck .Black jacket and one of those very thin sparkly scarves(also black)

well-had my night out.
There were 5 of us went out-3 of whom were wearing black and white stripy tops!! The doorman was teasing them and said that he had counted 27 black and white stripy tops that night!!!
And 50% of the boys(and i mean boys!) were wearing pork pie hats and scarves a la pete dougherty! so funny!!
