Sali Hughes beauty recommendations

Thetes no doubt sali is beautiful and talented so is not character assassination. But I must say I'm underwhelmed by her beauty tips.
Another dud one : dove something effects body cream. No shine at all. Also had v expensive bumble hair stuff and various others.
I need to stop reading!
The single good one was buying ikea flannels for cleansing. Other than that; nada.

yes I'm sure she's lovely, but I am massively underwhelmed by her advice, and always feel when reading her columns that I could do better.

I don't think she's preachy. Just has a very personal style. Pale skin flickr eyes etc. plus the products are crap.
Maybe it's me. ;)

She is teh double of my sister which is hilarious as my sister is a no make up sports fiend!

I don't like all of her recomendations or style.
But I've bought some of her recommendations, and for, for pale skin and have been impressed. Favourites include:

Clarins Instant Light Blush - vitamin pink
Bobbi Brown lipstick - nude

lisa eldridge is a million times better for reccys

Oops, a rogue 'and for' there.

I'd forgotten hot cloth cleansing. I started to do that after reading about it in her column.

Lisa eldridge similar but the products can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear as my purse will testify

I think her skin care recommendations lean towards people with dehydrated skin so often don't work for me.

However I use Liz earle C&P off her recommendation and love it. Ditto La Mer SPF stuff.

There are columns I don't find useful and others that are excellent. Surely that's true of every style journo tho?
