I'm feeling nosy, and I have some birthday money to spend on something nice and I'd like something nice to splurge on.

So tell me about what you've bought of late.

I bought the Touche Eclat foundation this morning. I went for a 7 day sample and I was so impressed duped I bought it right away. The texture is lovely, and although it's blimmin hot here, it's still on my face.

mrssmooth · 08/08/2012 16:27

My most recent cosmetics buy was Clarins Everlasting Foundation - second bottle and I still love it! I have also recently treated myself to Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel. It is absolutely heavenly ... the smell, the feel of it on my skin, it's just .. lovely! Would highly recommend it but obviously that's not "cosmetics" as such!

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 08/08/2012 16:31

clinique high impact mascara. Excellent stuff, much better than the mn favourite lancome hypnose. Also love their long last lipsticks - fekers have discontinued mine though.

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 08/08/2012 16:34

But, if you want long lasting joy for your money you can't go far wrong with a Perfume stength of your favourite scent (as opposed to Eau de Parfum or Eau de Toilette).

Itsgottabebags · 08/08/2012 16:53

Eco Tools minature cosmetics brushes. So far so good!

TribbleTuckandDismount · 08/08/2012 17:20

I've not been wearing perfume as much lately due to ds. I got out of the habit of it when he was younger.

I have recently splurged and bought myself some of the Liz Earle cleanser due to it being recomended on here. I may venture into town tomorrow and look out for the touche eclat foundation. I do love a good make up buying spree.

Actually a couple of bargain buys! Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation (nice but not as nice as their Healthy Mix one) and a No.7 Fanomenal mascara which I am seriously impressed with! Gives a really nice effect and it came with a free eyeshadow palette. The colours in it (silver, charcoal, dark pink, baby pink) blend quite nicely together and don't crease.

BellaOfTheBalls · 08/08/2012 17:28

P.S Tribble that Liz Earle cleanser is just about my favourite product in the world. I've just run out and need to order another one. The smell....mmmmmm Smile

cloudpuff · 09/08/2012 13:06

yes the boots fanomenal mascara is great , I bought one with the voucher things they were giving away.

I have had a load of bargain buys lately but these are my faves.
Maybeline expert pro quad in browns - 50p
Rimmel glamourise mono shadow - pink and blue - 25p each
Stila frosted "it" gloss - 25p
stila tinted moisturiser - £1
Stila pressed powder -£1
w7 primer (really love this) £2.99
Rimmel kiss & stay lip glosses £1 (i managed to get 13 shades over time as they really last the whole day)

Urban Decay Naked Palette

This has been an absolute sell out & is definitely the best choice of browns I've seen in a palette - I usually buy separates but I loved this selection.

You get a small bottle of lid primer and the brush is heavy and useful, not like the usual poxy sponge applicators.

The grey is totally sex kitten. I love it for evenings out occasional as they may be

I saw it on Pixiewoo (the make-up artsit sisters that have tutorial lessons on Youtube). Their product recommendations are great.

Also recommend Clarins pure melt cleansing gel. It turns into a cleansing oil when you rub it over your face. Then rinse and it foams away.

I've been using it for 4 weeks now, as I was looking for an oil cleanser and this was the closest I could find.

It's a lot handier to use and for everyday cleansing. My skin feels great and not tight or dry. Absolutely love it.

cleoismycat · 09/08/2012 13:21

where can you buy W7 products please Cloudpuff

MyinnergoddessisatLidl · 09/08/2012 13:22

Last one I promise

NipnFab pistachio body butter.

I was given a trial of this and I went back and bought two for summer.

I usually hate body butters - they can be greasy, take a lot of rubbing in. This one just melts into your skin and doesn't leave your hands all greasy. Your skin stays really hydrated and I didn't get my usual post tan lizard legs this summer. My skin was absolutely glowing.

Sorry to post three greedy threads, however I've just had one of those summers where I've felt fantabulous - hair, skin, make-up all feeling good, compliments etc so wanted to share. (one in a lifetime experience for me Blush)

I buy my w7 items from boyes - the factory shop - home bargains - B&M and poundland. Apart from piundland boyes has been the cheapest so far. There is many on ebay but higher priced.

I have a few itmes of theirs and I'm happy with them all. I got a camoflage kit it boyes for £1.99 and it has like 5 different shades of concealer which you can mix and match. It's teh first thing to succesfully cover my birthmark. It does fade after a good few hours but for a night out it's perfect.
I also love ther crackle varnishes ( in poundland at the moment) and the primer I got in boyes. Its lovely. I have just purchased two other kinds on ebay - one is purple and one is green for anti dullness and anti redness so I cant wait to try them out.

MidnightinMoscow · 09/08/2012 14:18

Not bought it myself but smelt the new version on Chanel no. 19 recently - it's absolutely gorgeous.

OhEmGee24 · 09/08/2012 14:45

I just went nuts at the Benefit counter. I love their makeup. Goodbye £150! Sad

AimingForElegant · 09/08/2012 15:29

Mine was Liz Earle cleanser too, I'm a convert already.

Most recent proper make-up splurge was D&G lipstick which I had to order from the States; I had it already and it is my perfect colour but lost it in a drunken haze at a wedding and then discovered that I can't get that colour here since Selfridges stopped stocking it.

MrsMeow · 09/08/2012 17:33

HD Brows palette in Vamp. Not strictly a purchase in itself as it came in the months Glossybox but oh my goodness, its amazing! I thought my eyebrows were ok as long as I kept on top of the plucking, but this really transforms my face just by brushing a bit of powder on them. Not sure why I didn't buy it sooner tbh!

It just makes me look more groomed and neat I suppose.

My second best recent buy is Elemis frangipani monoi oil. I use it everywhere after my shower, on my face, legs, elbows, cuticles and smooth what's left on my hair. Smells fab and a little goes a long way :)

anna1991 · 11/08/2012 22:05

Recently got the narciso rodriguez EDP, expensive but lovely. I wish I could drink it. hehe. Also got a nivea tinted moisturiser and nivea body firming oil which is brilliant !

emsibub · 11/08/2012 22:36

Could someone do a link to the Liz Earle cleanser that is being recommended. There's a few on sale n wanna make sure I get the best Smile

Springforward · 11/08/2012 22:57

I bought a Clinique chubby stick in the strawbery shade and I am stupidly pleased with it.
