where to look for a pale grey cashmere cardigan?

I have a grey cashmere cardigan from somewhere like Mango or Gap which I have lived in for the past few years. Sadly the elbows are now giant holes and I'm looking for a replacement.

I mostly wear it undone so ideally I'd like one that is V neck or has no buttons. Would like quite a small fit so not boyfriend or baggy waterfall style. I'm size 8 and am looking for a pale grey not medium or dark.

Anyone seen one recently, or can recommend good places to look for cashmere? Thanks!

Pure?

Brora or 360 cashmere if budget will stretch - beautiful and long lasting.

Pure as mentioned above, a step down in price compared to above.

And Gap cashmere is excellent value, not sure what they have in new collection but they usually have a grey cardi of some description.

Thanks! just had a look, unfortunately they seem to be completely sold out of anything in grey and in small sizes - gah.

cross posted - that was about Pure.

nothing quite right at Gap or 360 cashmere

But Brora have a couple of decent options - thanks! A weeny bit more ££ than I'd like but quality is usually good there, isn't it? I can justify it more if it lasts well Smile

Brora one here - expensive even in the sale - but it will last for ages and is deffo worth the investment IMHO.

Another cross post. I have a very favourite cardigan from Brora, it's 8 years old and worn loads...no holes in the elbows so far so cost per wear they are worth it. At least that is how I justify to DH.

Sounds like brora then... can't decide between longer version or cropped one? I am petite (5'3) so would usually pick the cropped but then longer is more cashmere for the same money!

Uniqlo cashmere is good value and I love the quality of J Crew. I saw a lovely grey cardigan in the A/W White Company range. Not sure if it was cashmere though.

Just to add to this thread, have a look at Crumpet Outlet, where there are a few lovely cardigans and jumpers reduced - still expensive relatively - but worth a look for an investment piece. I love the black hooded cardigan and am dreaming about wearing it in the autumn...now just to afford to buy it!

out TK Maxx has quite a bit of cashmere at the mo, i just got a lovely blue cashmere jumper for £40

minipie · 09/08/2012 10:43

Wow - thanks! I think the Brora one is still the best fit for what I'm after at the moment, but have definitely added J Crew, TK Maxx and Crumpet to my shopping websites list - hadn't thought of any of those and there are really nice things there.
