I need a blouse for my new job.. blouses don't fit. Help!

I need to get some plain white blouses for my new job next week (hooray!). Only problem is I'm a 36E and a size 10, so blouses that fit my boobs look huge over my waist, and blouses that fit my waist haven't got a hope in hell's chance of doing up. It has got to be a blouse, that is non negotiable, and I can't have it open with a vest underneath like I normally would do.

Does anyone have ideas for where I should be looking please? I am also skint so the cheaper the better Smile.

Congrats on the new job but no help sorry - I'm like you, I dont do blouses, I always end up looking like the awkward 11yr old wearing school uniform for the first time and it just looks wrong.

Does it have to be a blouse? I managed to get away for years wearing twin set type top and cardigan combination and always felt much better. But I guess you can't if you're asking about blouses...

What about this or this or this or indeed any of their other white blouses (they have a few styles).

HTH

or here biubiu.pl/category/en/koszule
Just ordered some things from there and they were delivered in just a few days.

I also doubt you are size 10 with 36 bra. Have you measured yourself lately?

Definitely bravissimo or their sister company pepperberry.

ChuffMuffin · 08/08/2012 10:03

I had no idea Bravissimo made blouses! Amazing, thank you ladies so much. Going to have to go have a look there today. The Classic blouse by Pepperberry is perfect.

Hazle Funny you should say that, I'm off to get my bra size remeasured today, I've lost 2 stone this year and nothing fits any more! Smile

I have the same problem - 32G boobs, size 10 waist. Sadly PepperBerry only have a few styles in their curviest range, but I'm hoping they will extend it.

HazleNutt · 08/08/2012 11:18

Chuff where are you going to get fitted? there are many many threads about it here and the consensus is that most places are quite horrible. But yes, with a size 10 waist you are more likely 30 bra than 36.

ChuffMuffin · 08/08/2012 13:40

Marks, they're usually good for me. I think I'm going to be more of a 34, I've got a proper hourglass shape and a tiny waist. After losing two stone the first thing you wanna do is go and buy new clothes.. I absolutely hate it and have hardly bought anything because everything either hangs off my boobs or squishes them up. :(

well ...search for marks and bra fitting here and you will find many interesting stories.

If you have a tape measure, just take your underbust measurement, should give you some idea where to start from. Marks measures you as well, but then for some odd reason adds 4-5 inches and tries to sell you a 36D when you are really a 32f..

StatisticallyChallenged · 08/08/2012 15:56

Another here taking bets on a size 10 hourglass with a tiny waist being nowhere near a 36.

CMOTDibbler · 08/08/2012 15:59

Go to Bravissimo, or an independant lingerie shop and get fitted, not M&S - they really are dire.
