I'm up at the Edinburgh festival and have just noticed how split my ends are! Oh Its so very dry. Where is a good and cheap hairdressers so I can get a trim and bit of shaping?
I fear going to places I know nothing about after hsving my hair ruined by a really shit place back home :(

I second Charlie Miller. They have several salons across town. Senior stylists are quite expensive but I have never had a bad haircut or colour there.

I think Charlie Miller too. I've had from senior stylists to students cut my hair there and all were fantastic, you can . They have a couple of really central branches too, South St Andrew Street is the one just off Princes Street. You can book online here.

Emma Hall (Leith Walk/Haddington place) are fabulous and not too spendy - if you keep and eye on their facebook page they often have standby deals where you can save some money.

I have been to Charlie Miller a few times, along with Cheynes, but just felt they were becoming stupidly pricey.
