Waiting for hair dye to develop, bit scared! Hold my hand?

So, my hair is longish. I was having it regularly highlighted, but due to a combination of lack of money and time, I haven't had out done for a year since dd2 was born. I was OK with how it was growing out until I saw some photos of myself at dd2s birthday and realised it wasn't a great look. So I bought myself a packet of 'medium golden blonde' dye and used it on Saturday. The result was orange roots to mid-lengths and blonde ends. Not a great look! So today I bought a medium ash blonde, hoping that would tone down the orange. It's developing at the moment and I'm a bit nervous!. I can't afford to get it done at the hairdressers, so if this goes horribly wrong I think I'm going to have to dye it all brown, unless it all falls out first!

I am doing mine also. Got 23 mins left. Went for a med brown ( v boing i know). It is an Avon one. Don't normally buy from Avon but you know how it is when a friend produces a catalogue and you feel obliged to buy. It is stinging a little too which is a bit of a worry
