Jeans for a skinny boy

I'm tearing my hair out looking for jeans for my very skinny 9 year old DS. He is tall (147cm) and very slim so needs an adjustable waist. He needs 11-12 yrs (or bigger in some shops) for the length but every pair we've tried just swamp him in yards of material around the legs. Is there such a thing as jeans for the super skinny yet tall? He had a black pair from Matalan last year that we discovered after trying on every single pair in the shop. Nothing fits this year.

Any ideas? Or will he have to live in his shorts?

Defo H&M, I have very tall & thin 10 year old and we always get skinny fit jean for him, he even has one pair that are like drainpipes I have to yank them off and good round the waist too!

Normal jeans are also good for him too

Gap slim cut jeans suit my string bean boy. Also Sainsburys or Tesco Value jeans (really - no adjustable waist, but they're cut so slim it doesn't matter)

We've tried H&M and nothing there. We could only find a pair of casual trousers in GAP, but will try again in another branch for jeans. Thanks for the suggestions, we'll have a look.
