Best deep conditioning treatments or oils for broken hair?

I've got very long, thick hair that's all dry, coarse and broken. It needs a trim but I want to start looking after it better and get it healthier (it feels like bloody horse hair!) Any product reccommendations or tips?

Saw Charles worthington hair healer recommended on here and bought it. Find it very good.

Pure Argan oil is fabulous. A little goes a very long way so you get a lot for your money. Apply it sparingly to your ends and either dry as normal or you can apply it all over, wrap your hair in clinging overnight and thoroughly wash it the next morning with a purifying shampoo for a deep treatment.

Moroccon oil or products containing Argan/Moroccan oil are rarely any good and a waste of money when you can buy the real thing.

Percy and Reed hair mask is doing wonders for my snapped, knackered hair.

Coconut oil is fantastic left on over night.

I 2nd argan oil but a cheaper oil is pure olive (you warm it gently then massage into yr scalp and hair and leave on with a warm towel round yr head for an hour or so) shampoo first with just the shampoo (make sure it's pure shampoo , not SLS, Mistry does lovely cheap ones,) NO WATER leave it on for a while before putting on softened water. (hard water is damaging to hair) and that makes the oil easier to remove. Then shampoo again.

Your hair sounds very much like mine a few months ago. I've managed to sort mine out in about 2 months, the difference is huge. All I've done is switched to Aussie shampoo and conditioner, started washing my hair every other day rather than every day ( unwearable down the 2nd day but looks fine in a bun ) using Moroccan oil on the ends, and only drying and straightening when absolutely necessary. Most of the time wash my hair at night and plait loosely to give natural waves. Doing all this has made a huge difference to my hair in hardly any time at all :)
