I quite liked the peep of brocade type stuff, cant remember whose show it was, in one of the sunday mags. I am sick of this weather and want to fantasize about boots and chunky tights. Smile

I think I will be going for skinnys in rich muted colours such as petrol blue, raspberry and bottle green. Wearing with heeled ankle boots. Liking some over sized knits I have seen. And hoping to save enough pennies for a Mulberry effie satchel

ToastedTeacakes · 03/08/2012 23:38

I've really gone off tights for the first time in my life, and because I favour skirts to pants I am going to have a difficult time of it this autumn..

I'm wondering if bare legs to knee skirts might work - think tweed skirt and a nice fitting cashmere jumper worn with flats, etc. I really hate how jeans fit me so it's kind of a pain.

Definitely want a navy faux fur hooded parka, ankle boots if I have to wear jeans, and several decent jumpers. Thinking navy, light grey and burgundy, and a gorgeous purple scarf.

I'm ok for bags and have the perfect trench (saved up forever to afford it after years of dreaming) though, so that's one good thing.

Shoes: I want something with a mid heel, would work both casual and dressy but not stiletto. This one's tricky.
Would love to wear oversized knits with jeans but finding the right jeans is the problem.

I am a mixed bag of wardrobe WTF-ery, obviously..Grin

Brocade meh.
I'm after the oasis leopard coat.
Green cords from uniqlo.

dexter73 · 04/08/2012 11:37

Windsock - burgundy cords from Uniqlo arrived this morning and are great. Really nice fit for me.

Windsock · 04/08/2012 11:42

noddyholder · 04/08/2012 11:44

Everything slim and tailored no drapes! Cos has beautiful things atm.

Windsock · 04/08/2012 11:45

Loafers. Have ordered the next ones with also. Leopard print. Hmm

noddyholder · 04/08/2012 11:47

Tried the zara zip coat and its lovely had to order another size though.

noddyholder · 04/08/2012 11:50

love these with black jumper and heels. Didn't see in shop though

Windsock · 04/08/2012 11:53

Ivevdecided I don't like vivid print trousers. They so teeter on sloane

Windsock · 04/08/2012 11:54

The bright blue cost nod? Are you size xxxxxxl

noddyholder · 04/08/2012 11:57

Oh god not sloane at all here! They are v flattering for some reason. The coat is black

dexter73 · 04/08/2012 11:57

Size down in the cords.

noddyholder · 04/08/2012 11:59

noddyholder · 04/08/2012 13:13

nice coat

lurkingaround · 04/08/2012 13:26

That is a nice coat noddy.
What do you think of this Hobbs coat? I like it. My sister tells me it's shapeless. I need a new coat.

noddyholder · 04/08/2012 13:28

I love it!

Toptack · 04/08/2012 13:37

Are midi skirts still in? Or should I stop at knee? Legs too ropey to go any shorter...

lurkingaround · 04/08/2012 13:37

I'll have to try it. Mango have had a few nice things recently.

QueenMaeve · 04/08/2012 15:16

lurking I like that coat, would the tie waist be flattering? I know on me things like that don't suit, they make me look very bulgy around the hips

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 04/08/2012 15:17

I quite like the idea of skinny cords, a new jumper and a peacoat.

And ankle boots.

Atm.

Windsock · 04/08/2012 15:21

No. Tie waist or belted things disaster here.

Katietaylorforgold · 04/08/2012 15:48

Oh ha a wonder around the shops yesterday- really liked cos and maje new stock and spotted a lovely bottle green knitted dress in Sandro,
Ok for a coat and have lovely new skinnies in burgundy and bottle green
Really want acne/ ash boots but will probably settle for topshopalike instead Smile
Have a brocade skirt I m hoping to resurrect

lauratheexplorer · 04/08/2012 15:51

I'll be in thick opaque tights with knit dresses and ankle boots or skinny jeans with long scarves, knee high boots and a smart trench/jacket. I like neutral tones like greens and browns mixed with jewel brights. I hate fluro or anything too garish.

Accessories will be lots of cross jewellery or skull bits to toughen up a smart casual look.
