Tan wedges and which dress?

For a wedding.

Dress 1 is dove grey, empire line, knee-length with little sequins (silver) cascading from bust into skirt.

Dress 2 is navy, shift/tunic cut, probably halfway between knee and thigh, top half entirely covered in navy sequins that then cut asymmetrically into the skirt.

I think the tan goes better with the navy but the grey dress is more appropriate I think. I could wear the grey dress with a pair of black stacked heels but had my heart set on the tan wedges as they're easier to walk in.

Any thoughts appreciated - I'm terrible at coordinating shoes and outfits for naice occasions, I rarely attend them Blush

You definitely can't wear tan with the grey.

Ooh no I hate snakeskin, and don't think I have anything in silver... gah, I thought tan and grey would be a no no :( I could wear nude/cream lace dress with the tan, but would that be too bridey?

I would have thought tan is a neutral colour and go with pretty much everything.

Tan and grey is perfect together..

That makes me feel a bit better... it doesn't look bad when I'm in the mirror. Just don't wait to look silly. And what colour accessories?! I have no idea what to do for a bag - would a turquoise clutch be ok?!

turquoise would look lovely, or pink...

MeerkatMerkin · 03/08/2012 23:37

I have nothing pink.

So, grey dress, tan wedges, turquoise clutch. I hope I don't end up looking like a disaster! I don't wear jewellery aside from wedding ring so at least that's one less thing for me to bugger up!

Sounds lovely!

A nice pair of earings with turquoise in would complete the look Smile

Personally I'd keep the bag a neutral colour - tan/cream/nude or grey..

Thanks for the tips - I've now got a navy blazer to wear over the dress (it's a bit frilly, looks the part). Bag doesn't matter too much considering I'll only end up carrying around DS's changing bag all day Hmm
