Anyone had more than one tooth out (not for over-crowding)?
I've a thin face, just had 2 teeth out and poss a third coming up.
I'm worried that it's going to make me look old prematurely as the bone dies.
Considering implants but they're sooooo expensive.
If anyone's any relevant experiences I'd really appreciate hearing about them.
Ta v much

I've had two adjacent teeth removed on the bottom on each side. This was about 10 years ago now and there is no difference in my face.

Do consider implants as they are a permanent solution, some Dentists do finanace options, make sure you get a good one maybe on recommendation.

I had two wisdom teeth removed 18 months ago & there's no difference.

I've got a couple missing at the back. The bone doesn't die, as far as I know. There is a bit of a hollow which only shows up when I am tense or cold, ie. when my jaw is clenched.

thanks for replies. sheldonella that's encouraging.
mumto2lovelygals I can find the cash but it irks me to spend it. I'm going to ask my dentist about it on monday. When I asked her last time she said there was no need, which there isn't if you're not a vain person, but I am vain.

I'm facing a possible extraction of a molar next week too, basically i had work done on it and now it's infected, and the root is dying but they said they can't do a root canal, it's extraction as it's on the nhs, and tbh i'm terrified about it, how will i be able to chew properly? apparently implants cost about £2k so that's completely out of the question for me, if I had the money I would do that, I am vain ! My extractions were 2 molars foxy and I can chew ok. Bit sensitive for a couple of weeks, but it's ok now. I found my root canal treatment more unpleasant to endure than my extractions. Good luck.
