Touche éclat: what shade should I order?

It's on the MN money saver this week so I want to order some. I've been using the Clinique imitation of this for the last year, and decided I may as well upgrade to the real thing since so many people rave about it.

But what shade to go for? I have fair skin with tendency to redness. Does this mean I go for 'pink undertones'? I don't want to enhance the redness!

Any advice, or do I have to go to a makeup counter and try it?

The classic touche éclat is one of the most over-rated products and unflattering products out there imo, esp. when used as a concealer rather than as a highlighter. My instinct is to say avoid. But perhaps the new range of shades are an improvement. If your set on touche éclat go for the golden undertones. Pink very rarely does anything for us fair skinned types.

you're not your Blush

I actually prefer no 7 s version of this

Miles cheaper and just as good

They have a pinky shade and a yellowy one, I use both

The main requirement is to 'colour in' the black circles under my eyes. The Clinique does the job ok, but I was hoping for a miracle product that makes me look fresh-faced and 23. Is this not it? Wink

I mix mine with my usual concealer to get more coverage

It is great at bringing forward my sunken eye sockets(attractive) and also that little dark bit just on outer corner of eye

Good also for lines from nose to mouth

The original shade (1) should be fine for your colouring. The lady at the counter in my local department store said that the other shades were more suitable for darker skin (mostly non-caucasian I think).

yup woman at ocunter said same to me

go for original shade

ggirl · 02/08/2012 16:42
