Grown up hairstyles for long hair?

It's waist length and thick. Mostly shove hair into ponytail/bun. Need something a bit more 30 and a bit less shoved up but not sure what to do with it. Completely loose doesn't work as need to keep it out of eyes. Any suggestions?

Ahhh right. Thank you for that suggestion Sleepless. She has a lovely sweeping style that would be fab to find out how is done. Not everyday but very posh grown up.

I can get similar hair but mine is much thicker than hers and my fringe is longer, I use my cloud nine curling wand (any would work) and randomly loosely curl bits.
If your hair is all one length you should think about some layers and maybe a little bit off the length to make styling easier.
I'd also suggest breaking the habit of pulling your hair back and try straightening/curling occasionally and leaving it out, I used to do the same!

Unfortunately due to work requirements hair has to be up and tightly controlled. And at curls. My hair is too heavy to hold a curl, even when it was short.

Check out YouTube for some long hair style tutorials. It's where I get all my hair ideas from.

What about a braid/fish braid to the side with some bits strategically pulled out?
