My brother is getting married in early September and my mum is looking for a dress.
She would like knee length with a sleeve. She's a 16 on top and a 12 on bottom so quite top heavy with a big bust.

She liked this and was going to add a short sleev e shes a very good seemstresse to it but I think fit will look like a sack of potatoes on her figure.

Anyone have any thoughts on that dress or any others she ccan look at?

Tablets playing up, sorry about typing

I like it. Suitable for evenings but with a young look to it.

She's only mid 40's so not very old and wants to dress her age.

^ up there it should say she's a very good seemstres and was going to add a sleeve to it. But I think it will look like a sack of potatoes on her figure

It's not right for someone with a big bust, sorry.

dont be sorry communist, I dont think it will look good on her either, I just wanted further opinion! I've pointed her in the direction of paperberry, there are a couple of nice ones on their website.

Empire line would be good on her body shape. Finding something fitted will be a nightmare and the dress from Next will look shapeless and unflattering on a bigger bust.

Try Pepperberry for dresses designed with boobs in mind (Their words, not mine!) She would be able to buy a size 12, probably super curvey which would be fitted to her shape. And they've got some lovely things in the sale!

Get her to have a look at the photos on the pepperberry facebook page too - there are loads there uploaded by actual people - 9 times out of 10 the dresses look much better than on the models on the website.

That said, she'd do well to buy something that fits on the bust adjust it to fit. I'm top heavy and find a flared 50's style dresses really flattering and balancing.

Agree with others, not good for full bust. She needs something lower cut (wrap dress would look good on her figure)

Also, the quality of Next clothes is naff.
