curl my hair?

Is there a way to quickly and easily curl my own hair for a night out with dp on Friday?

It's shoulder length with a bit of a wave but just looks like I can't be arsed if I don't make an effort with it. Oh, and please don't suggest ghd's or curling tongs or heated rollers.......have spent literally years trying to master those bloody things but can't get the hang of them!

Velcro rollers? On wet hair and then let it dry with them in.
Or if you plait your hair when it's wet then let it dry it gives lovely tousled waves. Or do you want ringlets?

Get friend/hairdresser to do it with ghd's ?

Mousse on wet hair then take small sections of hair and curl it into a ringlet shape til you've done all the way round. Dry your hair with a diffuser.

Should have said no velcro rollers either, am useless with anything roller-ish. Hairdresser not an option, been saving all year to go out for dp's birthday (v. nice restaurant, just us) May try plaiting tomorrow night after I have a shower, see what it looks like Weds morning, can always run the straighteners over if I look a --twat-

Two easy ways to curl hair:

Blow dry, take sections and roll around 2 fingers to create a cylinder IYKWIM. Secure with a hair grip and continue with the rest of your hair. Spray with hairspray and leave for as long as you can. When you undo the curls, arrange the curls with your fingers rather than a brush.

Blow dry hair, take sections and twist into a 'rope'. Then use straightners along the length of the rope and you will be left with lovely waves.
