Any tips/products for dry, wavy hair?

I have quite dry, wavy hair. Well, it used to be wavy, until I moved to a different area and now it's a lot straighter Hmm I think it's the water, because I have friends who've had the same experience, and whenever I go away for a few days it's back to normal, and I can't think any other explanation!

Does anyone have suggestions for encouraging the wave to stay in my hair, preferably that might help with the dryness? I don't want to spend a huge amount, particularly on something that doesn't work, so recommendations would be great...

Yup, super cheap suggestions, stop using all of the following - chemical hair dye, heat styling things (including a hairdryer) any product containing SLS, any product containing silicone.

I also had dry wavy hair that I was desparing of. I started all the above just after Christmas and now I have shiny, bouncy, swishy, 'just stepped out of the salon' hair, all the time. Though the bit that has grown without dye is in noticably much better condition, but I will get there eventually.

No hairdryer Shock But my hair takes a month of Sundays to dry! Will investigate SLS and silicone, I wouldn't have the faintest idea what does and doesn't have those in. Thank you!

I have sympathy I have masses of hair too, top tip would be to wrap it all in a microfibre towel for half an hour to an hour after washing, you will be amazed how dry it gets. I can't leave it on for more than half an hour or it gets too dry and hard to style.

Buy shampoos/conditioners/styling cream from Living Proof - your hair will look amazing.

Tigi curl shot shampoo and conditioner, it smells amazing too, I recommended it to my friend who has really thick curly hair and she loved it, I've bought it from amazon in the past, it's about 22 quid for both but it lasts forever because the bottles are huge, I also saw a thread on here for the new loreal extraordinary oil where someone loved it so that might be worth a go tooSmile

Excellent. Thanks all.
