Does an 'all-in' summer bag exist?

Does anyone feel up to helping me find a summer bag?

Don't want expensive, but a bit of style would not go a miss!

I am, as a general rule, the family pack horse, so it needs to be big enough to hold stuff for kids (drinks, snacks etc) as well as camera, wipes, books and so on.

Money is tight, so needs to be one for all occasions - shopping, holiday, park etc.
Any hope of something nice under £30? Pre-owned is fine by me.

What about a big holdall type affair that you can get in Primark?

GoTeamGBNeverAgainBe2nd · 28/07/2012 14:03

Quite like this... www.amazon.co.uk/Medium-Yellow-Orange-Purple-Flowers/dp/B0088C9S7I/ref=sr_1_20?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1343480517&sr=1-20

Not sure it is all that practical though.

Not got a Primark locally, but could make a trip if it is likely to be successful.

mmmm primark can be good for staple things, but a friend of mine who adores the place has had many a bag from there and they do have a tendency to fall apart after a few weeks.
Zara is great for accessories and they usually have an eye on the what the designers are doing so you can grab an 'inspired' bag that'll look wow!!
The sale is on at the moment and its free shipping online.
Treat yourself !
A little tip my mum taught me, buy cheap, buy twice!!

Do you have a TK Maxx nearby? They should have some good stuff.

I got a lovely one from Matalan the other day, in the sale

GoTeamGBNeverAgainBe2nd · 28/07/2012 20:26

I like this TK Maxx one www.tkmaxx.com/handbags/pink-sketched-print-shopper-bag/invt/11572087

Cath Kidston one is a good shopper, but not quite what I am looking for.

There is a good shopper on Zara, but not quite the summer bag I am looking for. May get it anyway though Grin

I am too fussy (or else expecting too much!)

I bought this one last year after a S&B recommendation and it's been great. Great for beach, days out, hand luggage on flights etc. Not terribly classy for smart evening meals etc. though. Also washable, just chucked it in the machine at the end of last summer and it looks like new.

You might get a pre-loved one on eBay etc.

Oh, I like one of those Bean - just wish the plain one was still available in the sale!

Will have a look on Ebay
