I need a cocktail dress - where shall I look?

This is sort of a wedding dress thread. I am going to a wedding in Italy at the beginning of September. I had a thread a few weeks ago looking for a dress and have bought

this

Today the invitation has arrived, and the dress code is summer cocktail for the ceremony, and then cocktail/long for the reception and evening party.

So the dress I have will be perfect for the ceremony and would probably be fine for the reception too - but I never get invited to anything where really dressing up is appropriate and I would love to get something really glam.

Where do i look? Had a quick look at JL and HoF and it all looks deathly dull.

Am a 16 (18 occasionally) short, good arms but don't want to do strapless.

That's a gorgeous dress! Perfect for creating curves, but on the other hand, good for hiding any lumps or bumps, so great on most women I would have thought.

Do you have a budget? When ever i'm shopping for an occasion dress, i'll have a look in House Of Fraiser first. Mainly because they've got loads of shops which sell cocktail dresses etc all under one roof.

Budget is flexible, I suppose up to £200 if I really really loved it.

Eek that one is very see-through!

I did look at Coast, but they are very bridesmaidish I think.

That is nice.

Very clingy though, I might bottle out of wearing it!!

I'm sorry, I'm coming over very negative. This is somewhat outside of my comfort zone!
