Best spray tan for pale skin

DD(15) keeps wearing the fake tan gradual build-up stuff. Tried Dove etc. she looks awful - streaky etc. I have told her if she stops using it and tries to scrub it all off then I will treat her to a natural looking spray tan to go on holiday with. Know its not the done thing for a 15 year old but she is very self-conscious and at least this way she won't look streaky or be wearing long sleeve tops and leggings all the time. Any recommendations for a natural spray tan for pale skin please ? - not orange!!! We are near Chester. Thank you!

Ask her why she wants to look like a gypsy. What is wrong with pale skin?

JulietMontague · 27/07/2012 13:10

I have pale skin and use Asdas own gel for fair skin. I've tried Loreal and all the others but this was the only one that didn't streak. You only need one good layer, and don't get dressed until its dry. It's awful sticky stuff but it gives a healthy natural looking glow.

Oops sorry you wanted spray!

She feels very conscious being very pale - but has dark hair & blue eyes. She doesn't want a dark tan just a light natural looking one. Thanks for all helpful advice.

A friend suggested fake bake - does anyone have any experience of this? Thanks.

My DD always looks fabulous with an Urban Tan the palest one but it does take 24 hours to develop. She has just had a Xen tan before going to Ibiza but that was a bit orange.

Dd is 15 and like a milk bottle.
She had St Tropez to go away with and it was lovely, very light, very natuural.

Thanks very much! We will try the St Tropez one.

I was going to suggest Sy Tropez too as it does give a nice colour. The only thing is it fades quite quickly. The mousse is easy to do at home & doesn't streak if she wants to use that after at home. The key is to exfoliate & mosturiser the knee area, ankles, tops of feet & elbows.
I think most tab have light, medium & dark shades to choose from.

We've has St Tropez before but I've heard lots of good things about Siena X recently so might try that next.

I have fairly pale skin and have used both San tropez and fake bake and been impressed with the results. Both look very natural - not too dark or "orangey". Enjoy your holiday.

If she wants to top her tan up, I can reccomend the Garnier gradual tan cream. You can get it in light and its goes on realy well.
