Long hair that hasn't seen a hairdresser for around a year.

Eyebrows that haven't been plucked for months, so need a proper shaping.

Would you get your eyebrows done, so that the hairdresser doesn't assume you want a completely no-maintanence flop cut, or get your hair down, so that the beautician can see what your face looks like with a decent cut?

I'd do brows first - for me it's transfomational whereas my hair - long & layerd looks ok tied back messily in the meantime if you see what I mean.

Go to a beauty shop that does everything, and ask them to do everything. smile

I highly recommend threading for eyebrows if you can find a salon that does.

Thank you Tbh, I have a bit of a beauty phobia. So I don't visit the hairdresser unless I can get my hair cut there and then. Then I leave it forever before going again.

I hate attention, but then realise that it sticks out that I'm so drab arrgh.

Other option of course is to do as I do. I really haven't got the money or will to go to beauty salons and hairdressers,and I don't like the attention either,so I do it myself usually.
