what to wear on warm rainy day?

Going for lunch and shopping today with my friend, the weather is grey, looks likely to rain but its warm! What to wear? Will look too summery in my planned maxi dress, no? And as for footwear, wet feet in sandals or hot sweat in boots? Aaarrrhhhh!

What are you all wearing if faced by the same forecas?

I would opt for coloured skinny jeans (rolled to ankle), loose fit vest, slouchy cardi and a cotton scarf. Footwear - I would either risk sandals or go with ballet flats.

Yes will risk sandals got some quite substantial ones with a slight wedge sole! Will have to be black skinnies today, still got baby weight 7 months on

I would go for the maxi and sandals. It will be much easier to try clothes on. It is summer and it is warm so a dress is fine. You will get too hot in jeans. Take an umbrella.
