Need a pair of shorts

My trusty 5 year + old shorts have got a hole in them

So need a new pair - for daya wear, sitting in beer gardens, playing with DD in the garden.

Want shortish but not teeny.

Am size 10.

Gap have some nice ones at the moment. I'm on my phone so can't do links. They're fairly new in stock. I saw them in
the store this a.m. I think they've got them in white and beige. They're button front and have a tie belt.and turn-ups. I was quite tempted...

Primark/H&M have loads of nice looking shorts.

I bought some for three squid in H&M the other day. They are short and quite high waisted - really nice quality cotton: was v surprised and pleased. Only in black (good) or beige (godawful) though.
