Does anyone actually use those tortuous toe separator things when painting their toenails?

What weird shape feet have toe nails that touch each other?

I do. My toes are quite close together and I'm cack-handed and short sighted.

You need to practice splaying

Rolled up tissue paper woven between toes is the only way to go - cheap, disposable and most NB hygienic. Couldn't put one of those separator things near me due to germs - even my own. bleurgh.

Are squashed up tootsies really that much of a problem?

The toe next to my little toe is positioned so that when I paint the nail it smudges onto my middle toe. I splay rather then use toe separator. When I have a pedi at a salon they always use the separators.

Yes - for the first time yesterday! For the first time no nail varnish on my toes, just the nails.

They freak me out: I will not go on the MN homepage for as long as that picture is there. And I do have crooked toes they're hideous, I could probably do with one.

Urgh no it makes me thing of flip flops which make my toes curl at the thought.

No problem with putting polish on, my toes don't lean against each other.

They aren't painful! I don't use them, but I should as my toes seem to rub up to each other!

I have just bought a set, plus I have 6 toenails on one foot (only 5 toes) so I am particularly freaky and squished.

I use them, they don't hurt at all! My little toes curl in a bit so it stops them smudging.

It keeps them apart, and still, whilst you paint and during drying. I find.

I do - not sure how you can paint your toe nails without them tbh I put them in, paint my nails and then wander round the house with them in for a while till the polish is dry

yes, I like s-t-r-e-t-c-h-y toes. Love the feeling when they come off.

I'd make a right mess without them. And they are fine to walk in so I'm not stuck on the sofa while they dry.
