DC2 is now 4 months. Won't be having anymore, but hair has started coming out big style now! Is there anything I can take / use to stop this? It's fine enough as it is, without it thinning anymore!

Are you me?! DD2 coming up to four months, hair everywhere but on my head! Will lurk for tips!

It's awful while it lasts, but don't worry, it's quite normal. Your hair will start growing back.

Are you sure? My MiL has been thin and patchy since her babies (and the menopause to be fair). Is there nothing we can do? Glad I'm not alone Lurky!

I used a Tangle Teezer hairbrush to stop me pulling out even more hair when brushing. I really recommend them.

Mine too (my son is 5 months). It was at its peak about 10 days ago - I was having to clean my hairbrush every time I brushed and all my clothes looked as though I'd let an Afghan hound sleep on them. But, it's passing already and it will grow back (christ I hope so! Well, it grew back after the first!).

It's just that your hair doesn't fall out when you're pregnant, rather than you no longer being pregnant making it fall out iyswim.

I suspect your MIL's hair loss is to do with the menopause - my hair is absolutely no different than it was before

Dd2 is 11 months and mine is growing back, I now have a lot of short hair coming through my parting and along my hairline, which is annoying but at least it's growing back. I used to lose handfulls of hair when washing it, was awful at the time. It didn't happened with dd1 so came as a surprise. I used the Elvive shampoo in the black and pink bottle, it says something about hair loss on the bottle and I think it helped, may just have been wishful thinking!
