I am having a panic about a dress I've bought...

please lie to me humour me and tell me if it's suitable for an English wedding...?

I feel like I always get it slightly wrong, and this time is no exception.

Here's the dress:

It suits me and is the right shape for me albeit a bit short for my liking on my glaring white legs

Today I bought a black jacket to go over it for the church ceremony and I have black patent shoes. But maybe it's all a bit "eveningy"?

I think its really nice. Not too eveningy at all.

It's lovely - if it is stinking hot (some chance) you could always ditch the jacket and go for some nude shoes instead. I feel your pain on the legs - go for some Dove gradual fake tan stuff.

OOh! Thank you. I was all sure in the shop, and then tried it on at home and had a panic last night.

DH was no use. "If that's what you've decided on, that's what you should wear". He also ignored my vanity call of "do I look fat in it?"

So noone's going to point and laugh at me in disco evening wear? It's my only brother's wedding so I want to make an effort for him and not embarrass him

Will try some gradual fake tan to hide the cellulite and I have some Sally Hansen leg make up stuff - hope it doesn't run or stain.

Good idea on the shoes too.

I think it looked fine to me in the rain, but now the sun has finally come out it looks a little wintery...

The dress is lovely.

I agree about the nude shoes, they would be ideal.

I'm shit at links but just found some gorgeous nude peep toe sling backs by Autograph at M&S for £45 - deffo good for walking and dancing. Have a look...

Have found the shoes and ordered them - they even have them in a 3.5 which is a miracle. Will report back.
