My tale of shoe-etry woe

Last year I found the perfect pair f black shoes. They had a heel but not a huge one. It was nicely shaped too, neither a stiletto or a chunky heel. They had a nice rounded toe and a thin trap across your foot - I want to say they were Mary Janes but I can't be certain.

They were smart enough to wear for interviews but pretty enough to wear with tights and a dress and on top of that they were comfortable.

I loved those shoes and now I can only find one of them. I have a horrible feeling that the other shoe was in my car when I sent to to be crushed

I need a pair again but I don't want to spend more than £30 on them. Please help, I never shop for hoes because I can't bear the experience. I don't want flat shoes but I don't want a three inch heel either, and from what I can gather, this is akin to asking for fairy dust in a coffee cup made from angel wings

Thankyou Grin the debenhams ones are nice, might be a bit high for me, but I might order them anyway!

Pikolinos are very well made, comfortable shoes, and some are quite nice, like:

(my permanent quest for a compromise between comfort and style, I often end up with Pikolinos or Gabor, some of their shoes are horrid though!)

...but I know lots of MNers think Pikolinos frumpy, so won't force any more links on you!
