I sort of like them but no idea what I would wear them with? Trying to capture the funk of my twenties :(

Really love them. With skinny jeans or trousers they will give you long legs and attitude. (Caveat: am past 40 so know little of funk).

UnnamedFemaleProtagonist · 20/07/2012 12:18

I don't think one can say Clarks and funk in the same sentence. I don't like them. At all.

Lazydaisy55 · 20/07/2012 12:30

I like the shape, but don't like the different colour on the heel.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/07/2012 12:32

There ok, have you tried the Kurt Gieger sale? or All Saints?

If your set on them have a look on quidco or topcashback, they've probably got a cashback of 5% or something like that.

Quidco takes £5 admin fee though if your not already a member, topcashback dont iirc.

sleeplessinsuburbia · 20/07/2012 12:38

They are great. Love the different colour. They will go with everything.

Ambrosius · 20/07/2012 12:43

Clompy mum boots, sorry Blush

valiumredhead · 20/07/2012 12:50

Oh what pish, thy aren't mum boots - if they's been anything other than Clarks people would be drooling all over them Hmm

If you like them get them! Grin

TeaTeaLotsOfTea · 20/07/2012 13:15

Funk of your 20's and Clarks Hmm

I don't like the blue buy maybe the tan could win me down please don't wear them with boot cut jeans. I'm begging you.

FunnysInLaJardin · 20/07/2012 13:20

sorry, don't like them either and I really like Clarks usually

SparkyTGD · 20/07/2012 13:21

I like them, I think they'd look 'cool' (old gimmer Grin) with some skinny jeans,

They are not 'mum boots' Shock

savoycabbage · 20/07/2012 13:27

I don't think they are mum boots either but obviously you must never wear them with bootleg jeans. Ever.

dexter73 · 20/07/2012 15:02

I like them. They most certainly aren't mum boots! Can't imagine someone in a fleece and bootcuts with them on!

wibblywobbler · 20/07/2012 15:12

why must they not be worn with bootleg jeans? Confused

FrancesFarmer · 20/07/2012 15:22

They most certainly are not mom boots - they are based on a design by Chloé, iirc.

However, I don't like the colours and fabric of the Clarks ones - they remind me of toddler boy shoes. You should be able to get a similar pair in nicer colours and fabric elsewhere on the high street.

yellowraincoat · 20/07/2012 15:25

Hmmm they're so so. Def not mumboots.

Check the KG sale. They always have good stuff. Like these which I think I now recommend on every single shoe/boot thread.

They are reduced to £30 FFS!!! They were almost £100 when I bought them!

mejon · 20/07/2012 15:30

No wonder they're only £30 yellow Wink. OP I quite like those Clarks ones - I don't wear heels but they look pretty funky to me and definitely not mum-boots.

SparkyTGD · 20/07/2012 15:35

They would be amazingly awful with boot-legged jeans flapping about Grin

yellow, I think yours might attract some looks on the school run, they're a bit Lady GaGa IMO

yellowraincoat · 20/07/2012 15:36

Shrug, I like them.

ggirl · 20/07/2012 15:40

I like them

OneLittleBabyTerror · 20/07/2012 15:44

I think they are nice. But you should just pick whatever you like.

wibblywobbler I just learned from the frumpy thread that bootcuts are the height of frumpiness. And we must all wear skinnies even if we have thighs like big sausages.

BeehavingBaby · 20/07/2012 15:46

Prefer these ones...

www.clarks.co.uk/p/20352216

www.clarks.co.uk/p/20352485

Or the tan version of the ones in OP.

OneLittleBabyTerror · 20/07/2012 16:01

BeehavingBaby are you being sarcastic after what I posted? Because both of the boots your linked are definitely mocked as mum boots on the frumpy thread Hmm.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/1521058-So-Ive-realised-that-I-dont-know-what-frumpy-looks-like

SpringGoddess · 20/07/2012 16:11

Dont think the boots linked by beehavingbaby are mum boots, they look very like the Ash boots everyone was raving about last year. Mind you I wasn't so keen, don't like the boots the op has linked to but I wouldn't call them mum boots either - just can't picture them with too-short boot legs.

Whitershadeofpale · 20/07/2012 16:16

I don't like them. I think they are mum boots in a mum's idea of something dressy way. The Kurt Geiger ones are 100x nicer.

wibblywobbler · 20/07/2012 16:35

oh dear, I live in bootcut boots. But then I have never claimed to be anything other than frumpy

Me in skinny jeans is the stuff nightmares are made out of
