Please help a terminally pear shaped woman buy jeans...

We are very nearly at the end of a long term cash crisis and I can finally look forward to buying some clothes. I could really do with some new jeans.

But... I have a 26 inch waist and 40 inch hips and have never been able to find any that reconcile the two. My most recent pair, bought in desperation in the middle of afore mentioned cash crisis, were very cheap and are worn with a belt. Which is fine, except the waist is so loose that even worn very low the material is bunched up. If I don't wear a belt, although there is no danger of them actually falling down over my enormous arse, whenever I bend over or crouch down the people behind me can see far more than is good for them. I've had this problem with pretty much all the jeans I've ever had.

Any suggestions for jeans likely to fit on the waist (well, more on the stomach I guess) and hips before I get very depressed trawling shops?

Try Levi Curve ID, bold curve. If you're really quick there may still be some sale ones left. I was despairing of ever finding jeans that didn't gape and sag, but these are good. Have 30" waist and large bottom, maybe 40-42" hips (? Not sure as have lost weight!)

Monsoon (oddly ) is often good

Or gap thingy. God what are they called.

Gap curve are good?

I sympathise! I always end up with a gapping back. I've found straight leg work better for some reason and actually some of the best fitting jeans I got were suprisingly bootleg stretch from new look. It's a bit hit and miss with there sizes and every pair is a different size regardless of the label.

TK Maxx currently have Levi Bold Curve in for £24.99 a pair. Gap Curve are good as well.

I sympathise. An exagerated pear here also. I just keep trying on different jeans. All price ranges. It seems low-rise are more flattering on me, tho I still need a belt. High rise are awful on me. My latest foray into the jeans world (I rarely buy jeans, just wear the old ones til they're beyond it) a SQIN skinny pair from H&M. They are surprisingly flattering. For skinnies, that is.
