Please tell me I won't regret it.

DS's GF did this recently, she was pleased with the result (cut and colour) but it took much, much longer than usual.

I was seduced by the £10 cost. I usually spend £100 on a cut & half head highlights but just can't justify it this time. Will get the highlights done then the cut here.

What can go wrong Shock

That's encouraging. Don't mind waiting if it comes out ok. I only have it bobbed so hopefully this won't be too difficult. Although does need to be straight!

The teaching staff know what they're doing and won't allow any total disasters... Grin

I was thinking of booking in for an eyebrow/lash tint and a pedicure. I want them done before I go on holiday and at my usual salon it tots up to £90. The FE college would be £25!

I know the prices are ker-a-zy. Mani/pedi with conditioning treatment was £20 Shock. I think I might go for that too.

I booked an appointment with the local hairdressing/beauty salon after someone on a style/beauty thread recommended getting a haircut there. My usual hairdresser had left the salon I normally go to and I couldnt get an appointment soon enough with the new stylist, so thought I would give it a go.

Was there pretty much all morning............... so if you have the time to spare and lots of patience and dont have a toddler with you, it is ok. Costs a lot less than normal salon prices, but the girl cutting my hair who was a final year student didnt have a lot of confidence and kept going off to ask the tutor what she should do next, so it took a lot longer as he was supervising all the trainees as well. I was more than tempted at one point to ask him to finish it off as I had been there for ages and my DS was getting really fed up sat in his buggy, having looked through all the books/played with all the toys he had taken with him. In fairness - the cut was actually good when done, I just cant afford to take that much time as I pretty much always have at least one child in tow.
