What is the sizing like, pretty please?! I have ordered one in the Next sale for a bargain £110 Smile but am having to wait ages for it. Trouble is I am generally a 10 but had to order a 12....

That is indeed a bargain!

I have a feeling that LK Bennet is on the smaller side, so if you are normally a 10-11 (rather than a 9-10, IYSWIM) then a 12 could be OK.

Trills · 19/07/2012 12:45

I bought this dress from Next because I resigned myself to the fact that I couldn't afford the Davina dress.

PropositionJoe · 19/07/2012 12:48

I have the Davina, am generally a ten but needed the twelve, so I think you'll be fine

HazleNutt · 19/07/2012 12:54

I have it in both 12 and 14 and both fit just fine, the cut seems to be flexible like this.

theonlynonblonde · 19/07/2012 13:26

i think you're better off going for the bigger size as in my opinion, the Davina isn't cut for particularly curvy people and I found my usual size far too tight across the backside and hips.

I bought the Davina in purple/plum last week. I'm 5'1", 32FF, 30w and 42 hips. The 12 went on but was v tight across bum and hips but the 14 was perfect. Its v flattering. On me it comes to just below the knee.

Wow, it is VERY similar!!!!!! Just bought the Davina last week in plum/purple. I'm 5'1", 32G, 30" waist 42" hips. I tried the 12 and 14. 12 fitted perfectly on shoulders and across bust but v tight across hips and bum. The 14 was absolutely perfect. On me it's just below the knee.

Ok looks fairly promising, I'll just have to wait now to see if it actually arrives! Though will it hide my fat mummy tum?!

Dotty I am v envious you managed to get this I just popped on next but none left :( What colour did you get? I am a 12- did it say why you had to wait- wondering if they will get any more in stock?

dottyaboutstripes · 21/07/2012 11:37

It was a red dress - I think I had the first slot available in the VIP sale so I was lucky, but I've had several occasions where they haven't fulfilled my sale orders, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if I never receive it. You often have to wait for sale stock, which I always thought was a bit weird...

I have 2 - New Navy and Magenta. I'm a size 10 (34, 29, 38) and their 10 fits me like a glove.

Enjoy it! I'm very jealous about the price you've got it for!

Frontline · 22/07/2012 07:25

They are small. Partic over bust

cybbo · 22/07/2012 07:27

Frontline · 22/07/2012 08:03

smellylittleorange · 22/07/2012 09:50

Trills what is the fit on the next dress like?? Has the material any give ?- I particularly like the colour of that one. I may stretch to a Davina one day but that on is perfectly affordable in a lush colour for now. There is an LK Bennet outlet store near me but I very much doubt they have any Davina dresses in there but I will have a look next time I am there and report back.

Trills · 22/07/2012 09:55

Fit on the Next dress is, er, medium? I am not used to pencil skirts so I spent the day thinking "Why can't I walk?" but I'm sure it's no more hobbling than any other pencil skirt. :o

I'm 5'7, it finishes at the top of my knee.
