The new Mulberry Bryn - What do you think?

Just landed and looking pretty old skool fine. I do like I must say. Not sure which colour is best. Oak is probably the timeless choice. Anyone going to get one? Fearne Cotton looked pretty good with a flame one (small size) in Grazia a few weeks ago.

It's very ordinary I think. Doesn't do much for me.

I have four Mulberry bags but have to admit that of late I'm going off them. I don't like the new one. Their designs seem a bit samey....

Agree that a lot of the new stuff has been wide of the mark. Bryn has its roots in the past though and I like the familiarity of it.

Yes, I must admit the turnlocks would have looked better bigger. I suppose Mulberry were trying to shake it up so it was different from the mens' Brynmore style.

Daria satchel and hobo both come in petrol this A/W too..........

Saw the Bryn on a blog somewhere a couple of months ago and was tempted by the orange (have enough 'classic' colours already) but I'm not normally keen on the shiny grain finish, prefer their bags made from softer, matt materials. Going to have a look at it this weekend if my local store have them in and then might buy on duty free next weekend - VAT free makes such a difference at those prices!

Too small - even the large one is only 26cm tall. I'd never fit all my gubbins in there.

I'd happily buy a perfectly-sized men's Barnaby instead, but it isn't lined

It's a nice wee bag but at that price, meh.

I have long since stopped buying bags that have short handles or cross body straps. No matter how lovely the bag, they end up gathering dust as I find them too uncomfy to use.

Shoulder handles or nowt for me.

Have always bought / invested in mulberry bags and usually buy one or two each year but am finding them lacking in imagination and originality lately.

I used to be a bit of a Mulberry nut but for the last couple of years their collections have left me a tad cold. I'm a Darwin Bayswater kinda gal, all these soft squidgy bright things aren't me at all. Hence, I rather like little Bryn.

I remember getting my. Regular sized Mabel in the sale for less or around the same as I have seen as a Lilly bag!

The outlets are good value for money if you go open minded about the type of bag you want.

I think I am a bigger fan of the Stuart Vevers than Emma Hill period.

The Bayswater is still the (original?) and best IMHO (at the risk or being boring and unstylish!). I'm not 'into' satchels, my friend has an Alexa bag which looks mighty fine on her... but I would look like an awkward schoolgirl (I feel).

I like it a lot but have a (cheaper) simila one already.

Mulberry not quite floating my boat with the new season designs so think il be going for an anya hindmarch for a change, love the quality and understatement that you get with her designs and not nearly so many about as mulberry nowadays!

I agree that Mulberry is a bit ubiquitous these days, and that the Bayswater is the Mulberry bag. I was so excited when I got my black Bays (my first Mulberry) in 2007, I couldn't sleep that night for looking at it

I've several Mulberry bags but that one is meh.

The scale of the turn-lock is indeed too small IMO, it doesn't make enough of a statement to me. I don't like big brash bags but they do need to have something 'wow' about them. The Roxanne, the Shimmy and the Anthony are my all-time faves because they all have beautiful scale and eye-catching features (in the buckles and metalwork). The Brynn is really boring and I think the metalwork looks too daunty for my taste - a bit too common looking for the price.
