I want a Spanxy silhouette

Ok I've only just found out about Spanx and I think they may be the thing for me til I get rid of my tummy (am sporting a bit of a beer belly since dd was born)

Has anyone here bought them and are they any good? Did you get the real Spanx or is there a better version out there? Where did you get it from and which one? Are they comfy to wear all day, in the office for example?

I'm happy with most of me but I just basically need something to hold my tummy in

Sorry if this has been asked a million times, I am way behind the curve on this kind of stuff since I had dd

Can I wait here with you until someone in the know comes along? My post c section tummy needs a little pulling in! I have a wedding on Saturday and unless I lose 2 1 stone it's my only hope.

Primark have their own range which are quite good, so not as much of an investment to try them out. I sadly cant afford real Spanx so i dunno if there's a much difference.

Real spanx vote here - others like M&S roll down my tummy, not a good look!

hellswelshy · 19/07/2012 08:15

Funnily enough I was the opposite HelenofSparta, I bought Spanx but found they rolled down...dont know if i chose the wrong size, but never got on with them...gutted! I did however buy a very frumpy large flesh coloured pair from Asda and got on with them really well, they come up really high and only cost a fiver or thereabouts. It may be worth trying a cheap pair, as it seems it will depend on what you get on with, expensive not necessarily the best.

I have a v attractive pair of flesh coloured cycling short things that come high up over my tum, they were £7ish from Peacocks and are the bees knees for a smooth silhouette under a clingy dress.

BourbonBourbon · 19/07/2012 08:25

I think the rolling up/down thing usually means you have the wrong size.

Spanx all the way . I've tried them all and the real ones wear and wash better . They are an investment but I've had mine a few years and still as good today as when I bought them
