How to dress like Olivia Palermo...Help!

I absolutely love the way Olivia Palermo looks and dresses. She is very beautiful

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how I can start dressing like her ie clothing suggestions and shoes

Start by making a mood board of her style. Cut out images of her from magazines and the Internet (she did a month long daily style diary for Vogue - it's on their website) will give you a better feel for her key looks.

She apparently is a big fan of Zara so that might be a good starting point. I think the key thing about her is that she puts style above fashion which is great because it means you can build up your wardrobe without the fear of looking dated quickly.

It's basically skinny jeans, a cute top and a jacket isn't it? She has a very classic look that should be fairly achievable. Invest in good skinny jeans - try on loads and some well tailored jackets, go to a tailor if you can.

Swap jeans for simple skirt/dress and add statement jewellry for evening.

I've never really noticed her before. She does look gorgeous. Seems to be super skinny, super shiny hair, and classic clothing in muted colours. I'm not sure I have the will power to be that skinny again! It seems to be a key part of her look in my opinion.

She dresses like me! Or should I say - I dress like her?! I'd never really paid much attention to her until this thread but I have to say that looking at the photos, I identify with her style v much apart from her gorgeous hair .

It's pretty simple stuff really - lots of skinny jeans / well cut skinny trousers, breton style slash necks, nice streamline tops with elegant necklines, ballet flats, a blazer - but a relazed casual fabric blazer perhaps. Get a few nice scarves. Dress up with heels, but always remember to balance your outfit well, i.e. if you show your legs, make sure you cover up the rest with relaxed but elegant stuff - don't combine cleavage with legs. Big pair of sunnies, hair up in smooth ponytail. Elegant studs / pearls / hoops. Simple jewellery.

Most of all, keep yourself in shape - clear skin, trim figure, smooth hair. Invest in serum.

I'd recommend Toast, Zara, and even some well-chosen pieces from h&m (blazers, skinny trousers) for high-street buys.

I think she has great style too, a bit smarter than Keira Knightley perhaps but not a million miles away from her and Kate Moss. There are quite a few lookbooks for these two that could help.

I definitely agree that it's important to look after the the nails and make-up etc, but fashion-wise, I think you don't need to spend a fortune.
Some skinny jeans like from DP's great range, Cheap Monday or trousers from Urban Outfitters is a big thing. Good quality patent ballet shoes, a nice tailored silk shirt may be worth a little more cash, Topshop or TK Maxx is perfect for the military jackets, Zara for the blazers and voilà, good start. Then for the dresses...

I love her style too - not too dissimilar from how I dress on a good day but its her grooming that stands out, the glossy hair, red painted nails, immaculate make up etc.

She is definitely a smart dresser. I like that she keeps it neutral but still manages to look fab and put the right pieces together.
