Sale hunters - help me bag a bargain

So... I am going to a house/garden party to celebrate a cousins wedding that took place abroad.
I am 31, 5'8 and a size 8, I have a 1 year old, and given it is an all day event I may have to bfeed at some point in the evening when she gets too ratty for rice crackers to keep her happy

I don't want a bfeeding dress, just something I wouldn't have to remove completely (shirt dress/jersey dress would be fine).

I've had a quick look at the Boden Sale and there is some nice stuff but I'm on a super tight budget so wondered if anyone had seen anything else at all?

Help much appreciated :-)

Can you link to the things you like at Boden then we'd know the type of style you like?

Fuzzymuzz · 14/07/2012 21:28

I quite like this one - m.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Dresses/Below-Knee-Dresses/WH325/Womens-Paris-Jersey-Dress.html but I don't think I have the curves.
I like this m.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Dresses/Knee-Length-Dresses/WH343/Womens-Regatta-Dress.html but I don't think I could feed in it without taking it off.
This is cute - but too pricey m.boden.co.uk/Womens-Dresses/Knee-Length-Dresses/WH313/Womens-Casual-Jersey-Dress.html
This is lovely, but pricey m.boden.co.uk/Womens-Dresses/Knee-Length-Dresses/WH330/Womens-Merino-Dress.html
I love the delicate edge on this one - but way out of price range m.boden.co.uk/Womens-Dresses/Knee-Length-Dresses/BH037/Womens-Broderie-Scallop-Dress.html

To be honest though - I'm really not very confident in my own taste, I tend to choose the same things all the time and I'm not that sure if they suit me... I have dreams of curves that aren't there lol!

Sorry about the long links - am on my phone.

What budget do you have?

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 14/07/2012 21:42

Dorothy perkins

Fuzzymuzz · 14/07/2012 21:43

Can probably go up to £25/£30 - but cheaper the better Blush

Have seen this in store and its beautiful, Alexon dress

Matthew Williamson in a Missoni style

A bit dull but cheap and would be fine for bfeeding in.

Any good? Along the right lines or missing the point?

Fuzzymuzz · 14/07/2012 21:47

Ooo I very much like that one MissBeehive. I'm not sure the colour is quite right - I'm pretty pasty - color-me-beautiful put me as a 'cool spring' which is lots of bright crisp colours - pastels apparently not as good. However, I don't always stick to this though I probably should so I'll definitely add to the list of possibles.

OK will look for cheaper things, back soon.

StBoniface · 14/07/2012 21:50

Dorothy Perkins

StBoniface · 14/07/2012 21:50

Peplum dress

Fuzzymuzz · 14/07/2012 21:51

Thank you StBoniface - I love the pink one, but not sure if more evening than day dress. Not keen on the second one - though I can see where you are coming from. The third one would work... but you are right about it being a bit plain.

OP posts:
Fuzzymuzz · 14/07/2012 21:55

The Dorothy Perkins one could work with the right accessories - plus if it was flattering I suspect could become a wardrobe staple... and for just £16!

Pink one a bit 80s for me I think... but maybe this is where I should branch out and try something a but different...

Next have a couple of mock wrap jersey dress (3/4 length sleeves) and jersey maxi dresses for about £16 in your size for the sale - have a look?

Fuzzymuzz · 14/07/2012 22:45

I've had a look at Next and there are a few that look ok - I do however buy almost all my clothes from next, so was thinking I might branch out Smile

MissBeehive I go through to the same dress (blue one) on both those links?

I quite like the mermaid hem on that dress LeesBeauty - but not sure I could feed in it at all Sad

wrong link previously

Filofax · 14/07/2012 23:01

I've recently bought the DP wrap dress in plain black for £10. It's very flattering and can be dressed up or down. It's priced at £10 in a few colours in the sale, or £16 full price. Definitely worth a try.

Filofax · 14/07/2012 23:03

Erm, I've got the orange one from label lab too! Fab dress and another bargain.
