Right so you have, what, 8.34?

And 20 volume peroxide?

Basically you mix 1 part dye to 1.5 parts peroxide.

So if you wanted to use the whole tube, because you were doing a whole head for instance, you would put the whole tube which is 50ml, with 75ml of 20 volume (6%) peroxide.

If you wanted to do a strand test before committing to a whole head (recommended!!! I am not a hairdresser! And a good one would do a strand test anyway!) then mix 1/2 a teaspoon of dye with 3/4 teaspoon of peroxide.

Mix it up, let it sit a minute or two, mix again, apply, 35 minutes, get in shower, lather up, rinse, shampoo, rinse, condition 3 minutes to let hair ph balance return to normal, get out shower, dry, dry hair, admire ginger glory, resume life.

I have the 8.34 and 20 volume peroxide, yes.

I do want to do a strand test, so (bear with me, baby brain) if I open the 50ml tube and squeeze out 1/2 a teaspoon, when I come to using the rest of the tube, can I measure out 75ml of the peroxide and remove 3/4 teaspoon? Will that then be the correct ratio?

Do I need to use foil on my head or can I just slap it on?

I snip a strand off but if you cannae part with it just do it on your head, probably don't need to wrap it up or cover it in this "wet heat" the country is experiencing!

Ooh I hope you like it. It really is a good "balance" of gold and copper, with a slight lean towards gold that makes it pretty foolproof in my opinion.

In terms of losing half a teaspoon from the tube, you don't really need to worry too much about adjusting the ratios when you do the whole tube with 75ml of peroxide but you could play it safe and use 70ml
