depends on your skin tone?

bigpants103 · 12/07/2012 20:07

Two of normal one and just one of the DARK one for me.

I used it for 1st time on Saturday and then again on Monday. I'm very pale but had a bit of a tan left over from a hol last month. I now look like I've got a light tan. I reckon that with the medium I'm going to need to re-apply it every 2 days to keep the colour so might go for the dark next time round.

foosty · 12/07/2012 20:13

then do one light application first day and see how it comes out - I find it's not very strong, which is good when you're very fair! Use a mitt. Second day - another light application if you feel you want to.

NorbertDentressangle · 12/07/2012 20:24

I find that one application leaves a subtle bit of colour and 2 gives a proper tan.

Can I ask a question whilst all you St Moritz users are on here please......I've used this on my legs but have never used it anywhere else on my body. As we're off on holiday shortly I want to apply some to the bits that never see the sun (mainly my stomach, chest and back) here but I don't know where to stop in applying it IYSWIM.

When I do my legs I stop at my knicker line but if I do my stomach, chest and back do I have to keep going and include my neck, face, shoulders, arms etc even though they have a bit of natural tan?

ENormaSnob · 12/07/2012 21:37

I would norbert. In case it comes out darker on your lower half.

Re st moriz, I do 2 applications plus sometimes an extra one on my lower legs as I shave them so it fades faster there.

NorbertDentressangle · 12/07/2012 21:40

I'm just a bit scared as I've only used it on my legs where, if I cock it up, I can hide it.

The face is a different matter. I don't want to look like an oompa loompa that got caught in the rain

raindroprhyme · 12/07/2012 21:42

use a mitt and probably one i prefer not to shower it off but i am quite sallow. You are named after my favourite castle ;)

poppedoutforapintofmilk · 12/07/2012 21:43

I have used it on my face, arms, chest and top of back because those are the only bits of me on show at the moment. The face application looked awful though because my nose and lower cheeks came out too dark and my cheeks just looked sort of sallow/jaundicy. I had to stick foundation on to even it all out. But that could just be my particular skin type that made it do that. I now stop at my jaw and use my normal foundation. If I was going on hols, I'd do whatever was going to be visible though saying that I've not attempted it in areas other than the above.

busyboysmum · 12/07/2012 21:59

I used it on hols but not impressed TBH. Does it wash off really easily? I found that after a day in the pool and a shower it had mainly gone. Plus v streaky when applied all over.

ENormaSnob · 12/07/2012 22:14

I have never used it on my face.

I only ever use the spray fake tan on my face. Usually amber solaire which I love but am trying the loreal sublime atm and am liking this too.

LolaAnn · 13/07/2012 00:45

You need to apply with night, with a mitt. I do everywhere (incl face). get the dark one. then next morning, shower yourself good. you will be glowy but not orange
