They just look like black pants to me. Most of the mums I see at the school gates are in skinnies and a breton stipe top, that is the mum uniform around here.

How weird? Wonder what makes them Mum trousers? Perhaps they are scotchguarded to repel stains and the pockets have a built in section to store wipes, nappies etc? And maybe if you press the button above the zip, you can choose from a selection of usefull instructions ie "PUT THAT DOWN", "GO AND BRUSH YOUR TEETH", "NO YOU CAN'T HAVE ANOTHER BISCUIT", "GO TO SLEEP ALREADY".

They are awfully skinny for maternity trousers! Plus, who would actually buy them with the baggy knees already in them?

I believe the baggy knees are all the rage , and indeed, very with it, as my Mum would say...

Maybe the skinniness is because they have a dual purpose - as support tights for varicose veins?

I saw them tonight, and thought they were maternity trousers. Are they not? I thought they looked nice except for the silly jersey band that made me presume they were maternity trousers.

I tried on a pair of trousers with zips while I was there. I' having a feeling fat day to took a 16 into the changing room. I'm usually a 12, and a pear, so occasionally I need a 14 bottoms. SWEET DIVINE! They were like tights! Awful awful size. I wanted to cut them off me. Zara sizes are nuts. I also own a jacket in S. How crazy.
