Up to £800 for a new hangbag - any recommendations?

I am looking for a new handbag and I can spend Up to £800, maybe £900-1k for the right handbag. I like Mulberry. Should be timeless and something 'bigger'.

Any ideas?

I'd save a bit more to get a Chanel, not neccessarily a 2.5. Some beautiful classic bags. Some day....(sigh)

If I had that bag budget I'd buy 4 different mimi berry bags, because I love them and most designery bags are ugly (to me).

Got this recently, it's gorgeous and they do a larger one.

Another vote for the Alexa. I also like the Bayswater if you want a work bag.

Also check out Anya Hindmarch. I boughtthis in red in the sales and it's a good size.

I have the Alexa. It can be a tote or a shoulder bag, but would prefer a shoulder one as I have so many totes already.

I also love the Gucci jackie bag, this ones £££ as it's the new metallic, they do come for around £1k too...

I second a Balenciaga bag and if you have a Cruise near you that sell Balenciaga the sale might be about to start/ currently on then you might find one that is reduced.

I personally got a Balenciaga rather than an Alexa for a number of reasons including value for money as I felt I got more bag for my money iyswim and I personally think that the Alexa style is pretty much everywhere and will date especially when a new Mulberry IT bag appears.

I would also reccommend Bottenga Venatta which to me screams quality and luxury in a quiet way rather than a bling bling logo all over way.

The purse forum might be a good place to have a look as there are loads of bag brnad bags covered.

What do you think of the Prada Saffiano?

I'd get a Bayswater in a classic colour if I were you. Oak is gorgeous but prone to watermarks, so black or chocolate.

What about Pauric Sweeney?
