I have grown the fringe out of my Dd hair but my MIL and Dp are always saying that she should have a fringe cause babies always do. They say its bad for her eyesight??????Do you think I am in the wrong.

Seriously, eggie?

Babies "should" have a fringe? Are they nuts? Some kids don't have what you'd call hair until they're about 3!

If her hair falls in her eyes, because it grows forwards then either clip it back or put an alice band on. Much easier than cutting a fringe and then having to keep trimming it.

I think nuts and MIL go hand in hand IYKWIM. Dps excuse is that he cant put bobbles in and so refuses to get her ready in the morning. So i am being bullied into getting her hair cut. Dd hair is very fine but she has quite a lot of hair. My first daughter, but loving the experience of it

Get her some alice bands then, even a klutzy DP should be able to put one of those on her!

egocentriczebra · 01/03/2006 22:45

Oh, I prefer fringes, much easier than persuading DD to wear a hairband or clip!
But then, DD was one of those who didn't have hair until 3... :)

BadHair · 01/03/2006 22:46

How about clips - the sort of mini-bulldog ones that even cack-handed dps can put in?

Show DP & MIL \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=1700&threadid=145026&stamp=060214150611\these 2} - they look gorgeous with clips and no fringes!

Eggie · 01/03/2006 22:56

I use quite a lot of clips etc but I think that my MIL is sure she is right and keeps going on. I will have to tell her to shut up in a tactful way of course....notGrin
