Clarks factory shop Elephant & Castle - any good?

And do they have fitters? (I realise that's a bit much to ask of Factory shop).

Lovely shoe shop in Brixton has shut down Sad, DS needs new trainers and this place is probably easiest to get to but am scared of Elephant and Castle have never been and don't know whether it's worth the (short) trip.

Where in Elephant is it? I'm sure I can fit as well as a Clarks fitter so wouldn't worry. Also I noticed recently a new shoe shop in Brixton about 100m north of the station. Do you know if it's any good?
Ds got his first shoes at the closed one in Brixton. sniff

It's in the shopping centre in the unit where Woolies used to be.

The kids section was at the back last time I went.

There are fitters, not the best I think but OK.

Expect it to be busy at peak times.

It's in the bowels of the Elephant shopping centre.

I don't know which shop you mean in Brixton actually - the options I know about would be M&S (unlikely to have in stock) Mothercare (might not have large enough size), TK Maxx Hmm, or Shoe Zone, which I only trust for plimsols and wellies.

I find trainer fitting really tricky for some reason.

I didn't know there was one there! Is it like the one in Peckham?
