Oh my - it is rather wonderful, isn't it?

I have black ink - what other colours are nice?

Can't believe I have only just discovered this little beauty, have heard loads about it but never actually tried it - and the ultra fine brush is AMAZING.

it dries up in a flash.

valiumredhead · 02/07/2012 09:44

Only if you leave the lid off while you are applying apparently, so I have heard - you need to put the lid back on between dips with your brush.

oh ffs
thats bollocks isnt it?
and patently untrue

PeriPathetic · 02/07/2012 09:48

There is, or used to be, a dark brown. Sepia, I think it was called.
I found it excellent for creating mehndi on DD.
It does not come off.
Grin
Neither did the intricate black tattoo I gave her for some other reason. It was still there a week later Blush

Dropdeadfred · 02/07/2012 09:52

I love it but it dries to boot polish!!! I still use it but have to scrape off a thick layer from the surface before each use. It does not make me want to buy another

valiumredhead · 02/07/2012 10:30

Oh well, I will let you know if mine dries - I was very careful to put the lid back on between dips this morning!

I am lusting after Ivy Shimmer and Sepia.

Does anybody have any tips for applying it when you have eyelash extensions? Thanks.

valiumredhead · 02/07/2012 10:33

How does it make it any different from if you have long eyelashes blonde? Just bung it on Grin

I have Ivy Shimmer and the purple one - both gorgeous, iridescent colours (eyeliner addict) , there is a bit of a drying up issue but I've also used Mac and Clinique gel eyeliners and this seems to happen with each of them. No idea if sticking a bit of that mixing medium malarkey in with them will re-lubricate.

valiumredhead · 02/07/2012 10:47

More googling suggests mixing the whole jar up can improve quality and make it last longer.

valiumredhead · 02/07/2012 10:47

WRT Ivy Shimmer - is it black green, or very green?

OP posts:
Msarsebiscuit · 02/07/2012 10:48

Blimey. Puts in an order for mixing medium.

Msarsebiscuit · 02/07/2012 10:50

Hmmm, it's like a very dark emerald green, not in your face at all. I'm very pale, with dark hair and sewage green eyes and it suits me. I'll have a look at some swatches and put up a link to the most accurate.

valiumredhead · 02/07/2012 10:51

Oooooo sounds nice! Thanks :)

Msarsebiscuit · 02/07/2012 10:54

I luuuuuuurve it.

valiumredhead · 02/07/2012 11:17

Oh gosh. I neeeeeeeeeed it!

I like the black but it's very black for day wear - I need something a little less harsh.

OP posts:
Msarsebiscuit · 02/07/2012 11:22

You do need it, you do. (I'm a make up enabler)

valiumredhead · 02/07/2012 11:24

I also like the new plum/black colour.

I got the brush and gel from ebay for £7 - utter bargain, at that price I don't care if i dries up!

I have espresso ink and ivy shimmer ink - both fab....I haven't had issues with drying out either. DD has denim ink and it's divine. I can't wait to see the new twilight one as it looks amazing

valiumredhead · 02/07/2012 11:36

Yes Twilight is the plum/black colour, isn't it?

Espresso Ink= black/brown?

OP posts:
Msarsebiscuit · 02/07/2012 11:38

Bollocks, now I want the Twilight Shimmer. Curse MN

valiumredhead · 02/07/2012 11:56

I'm on the look out for a new mascara - usually use MF Masterpiece, the black tube - but fancy a change. I like a traditional brush not these new fangled skinny brushes. Any suggestions?

Msarsebiscuit · 02/07/2012 12:12

That's tricky, Valium, currently I'm alternating between Benefit They're Real and By Terry, of the two I prefer the Benefit but then I'm a big fan of the drag queen school of lashes. Neither are my absolute dream mascara. I had a Bourjois Fast and Pefect mascara recently that was excellent but couldn't be described as subtle, I also like Max Factor False Lash Effect - about 25 zillion times better than that Benefit Bad Gal shite.
