Brown bag that won't disintegrate in ten minutes.

I am in the eternal search for a brown bag mid size smartish to do for both work and during baby group days.

So far I've had a mango one last two weeks, luckily bought through John Lewis so refunded, and now an Ebay Karen Millen has gone in two days.Straps broke on both of the bloody things.

I'm honestly not carrying bricks, just keys, wallet and a make up bag but ideally would like to have room for a couple of nappies and some wipes.

Currently in the middle of the most expensive house renovation known to man so budget has to be £50 tops. (until I can pursued dh that a bayswater is my destiny)

Any help gratefully received.

They are really roomy too. I have a small one and it looks tiny but I have been able to get my coat amongst other things in.

I got a really nice tan, non leather but nice looking handbag from m&s for £35. Can't vouch for it's durability yet as I haven't had it long, but very pleased with it so far.

Oops just noticed you stretched the budget! Perhaps try for something in real leather then. I love that topshop leather satchel. Wish I'd known about that one before!

Have you tried going into an independent gift type shop. The ones around here have lovely Italian leather bags at a really good price.
