In Navy (and without the pendant thingy).

Bit of an impulse buy but think I like....

Nice, not worth the price... Slightly mumsy without the pendant...

NewChoos · 27/06/2012 16:30

Actually it's this in Navy (not croc).

Still mumsy?

Blurg! to the pair of them and HOW MUCH! seriously it's obscene how much people pay for a hand held item conveyance system

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 27/06/2012 16:36

I dont like it...its a bit old ladyish and briefcase ish........

I'm not a bag person really but no I dont like!

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 27/06/2012 16:36

The second one is even worse - not so much mumsy as gransy!

NewChoos · 27/06/2012 16:38

That's a bit harsh Ryoko - I can choose to spend my money how I wish.

Ooh Second thoughts, not sure I'm ready for an old lady bags, in my defence been using a nappy bag for 18 months and so anything would be a welcome change!

SoleSource · 27/06/2012 16:40

I do not like the bags either. Happy shopping :)

BunnyLebowski · 27/06/2012 16:45

Both 'orrible. Look like the kind of thing Maggie Thatcher would have draped over her rabid old arm.

And the price is laughable.

whitelillies · 27/06/2012 16:45

Hey if you like it then enjoy it! I don't think bags are mumsy or old ladyish if you re individual style fits with it ! The big mk pendant thing would put me off it a bit thoughSmile

NewChoos · 27/06/2012 16:47

Mine doesn't have a pendant, but I am obviously in the minority with liking it.... I think it suits my needs at the moment so will probably keep.

OP posts:
polyhymnia · 27/06/2012 16:48

Don't like them at all - was also going to say 'Margaret Thatcher' - OK if you want to channel her.

NewChoos · 27/06/2012 16:49

It's for work, need a small bag for my few items as also lug around nappy bag!

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/06/2012 17:00

It's a "Classic".

You can get very similar osprey bags in TK Maxx for about £75 at the moment.

Too small?

Or this?

As long as you like it though it doesnt matter what we think anyway.

DonaAna · 27/06/2012 17:09

Michael Kors Jet Set and Hamilton are very popular among fashion oriented teenagers where I live. Too popular imo but you might want to check them out.

NewChoos · 27/06/2012 17:20

I didn't realise I would get such strong opinions.

I do like Osprey bags.
I will take a look DonaAna.

OP posts:
yellowraincoat · 27/06/2012 17:23

Those Osprey ones look like they're off the market.

madammecholet · 27/06/2012 18:03

I like it and if its in Navy it'll be gorgeous. Looks like the new Mulberry Del ray imo.. Bowling bags are very in for next season and the vintage 'old lady' look has been with us since A/W2011 & is here to stay for A/W2012 as well. Grin

UML · 27/06/2012 18:20

I like it too, its a good style for work (formal style) and looks 'clean cut' (not frivolous)

UML · 27/06/2012 18:22

Oh, just read its not croc...

I think croc would have looked better, otherwise it looks a bit standard I think...

NewChoos · 27/06/2012 18:22

Oh really pleased you like it madammecholet I was starting to think I had totally lost the plot, not that unreasonable as I have about 4 hours sleep a night max since our wonderful but non sleeping DS was born!

It does look nice in Navy and looks quite understated, which is my kind of style.

OP posts:
UML · 27/06/2012 18:24

I have had an formal osprey one before (croc leather) but found the leather peeled slightly on the edges of the base where it scraped... I thought it would have lasted longer - didnt even use it much. Thought id mention.

UML · 27/06/2012 18:26

But i do have a small osprey one (normal leather) and it has worn beautifully

waitingforgodot · 27/06/2012 18:27

I like the first one-is quite mulberry-esque! Go for it!

NewChoos · 27/06/2012 18:27

That's useful to know UML, I have looked at the Osprey croc bags a few times in JL. They look very smart, I'm looking for something a bit more compact though. I think I'll keep, I didn't pay full price it was reduced to £145 and think it probably works with my whole commute/+nappy bag/ wriggly DS mix.
