Suggestions for accessorising navy dress for wedding

I bought this dress for an evening wedding reception www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Linea+Ruched+waist+wrap+dress/163546896,default,pd.html and it fits like a dream.

I'm thinking about accessorising with silver - shoes, bag, pashmina, sparkly necklace etc. but I'm not very good at accessorising and I'm sure you can come up with something much more creative (and with more of a wow factor)!

I'm 34, of slim build so nothing too chunky/clumpy please, and ideally trying to make good use of space in my wardrobe so I'm looking for things I could wear other than for weddings.

I bought these shoes but they're really hard and not very comfortable (the thinking being that I can wear them all through the year for other occasions, even if it's wet). I love strappy sandals but then I'm limited to nice weather... But what if it rains?! Ideally looking for a mid heel height.

Most important - budget! Approx £30.

Thanks ladies!

I think silver with that dress will be very ageing. How about snakeskin shoes, and a bright coloured clutch bag and beads? Maybe in mustard or bright pink.

I linked that dress on here littlecupcake it does fit like a dream, I agree! I am definitely going to clash mine with a bright orange / coral / yellow heels/clutch when I dress it up.. however, snakeskin would work too for a more neutral look.

I agree with plumsykes silver will be too boring and ageing..

love this coral clutch

sam edelman heels

with some bonkers crystal dress earrings..

Asos flower earrings

Thanks for your replies, been a busy day and I've only just had a chance to look at your links.

plumsykes I love the idea of bright pink accessories, and madamemecholet those shoes are gorgeous but a little over my budget. I think I will abandon my silvery, sparkly idea in favour of bright colours.

The dorothy perkin ones are called 'Pewter diamonte trim courts' I think the link is not working for me...

UML I'm loving the trim on the EBay shoes, definitely makes them look more 'dressy'. I originally wanted silver shoes and got some silver/grey ones that I linked to in my first post, but to be honest, they didn't do a lot for the dress - it all looked a bit drab.

A silvery grey pashmina also arrived today and having tried it against the dress it looks a bit bleurghhhhh.

MrsMicawber can I wear flats to a 'do'? I would love to wear pearls, but would they be old lady-ish with the dress?

Am so rubbish at this Blush

I agree to what you think of the original shoes, they were a much lighter silver though, I think the darker grey looks better....

Alternatively, you could go with some navy suede peep toes/courts, and glitz up the outfit with a statement necklace and clutch...

I will watch this thread with interest and see what others suggest! (links please ladies!)

I'm wearing a navy dress to an evening wedding reception next week too - although not as lovely as yours :)
I have patent navy slingbacks and a patent navy clutch and have jazzed it up with a statement silver necklace (Wallis sale - cant find it online) and this belt
