Shoes and accessories for this dress?

NoTeaForMe · 25/06/2012 20:22

I have bought this dress for a wedding and need shoes, bag and jewellery to go with it. I was thinking nude shoes but as the detailing is white do you think they would go? I'm tall and I really want flat or minimum heel shoes!

I'd quitel like something to go in my hair too...not a hat or fascinator though!

Any ideas ladies?!

How about these ballerinas? Perfect I'd say. And this bag?

anything like?

Were you thing a hat or some sort of flower / clip / slide type thing?

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 25/06/2012 21:13

Oh right. IN your hair Blush. Big white flower, a simple one I'd say. Maybe rose like (from the lace).

NoTeaForMe · 25/06/2012 21:48

Wow! Think that's a bit too colourful for me procrastination orange/coral dress, blue shoes and a yellow handbag. Too much fr me!

Thankyou though! Any other suggestions? Anyone?

I very nearly got that dress, it fitted sooo nicely...gave me a lovely small waist. But, none of the colours available did anything for me. How about more 'puttyish' nude or pale gold?

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 26/06/2012 11:33

Well, that'll teach me not to preview - I was meaning to link to blue shoes but pale blue with corals

(almost certainly still not to your taste, but a combo that works works beautifully with the dress and bag instead of just being random)

madammecholet · 26/06/2012 11:43

I just posted some great clashing corals on this thread..

they'd work for you're dress too..

NoTeaForMe · 26/06/2012 12:59

Ha! Procrastination they are better but I'm still not convinced!! Smile

There's a really lovely Asos coral bag on that thread madamme but could be terrible if it's not the same colour, would look like I tried to match but missed instead!

Help!!!

TBH I don't think nude shoes would really work, you don't like contrasting so, well, it sounds like white shoes and coral bag (or tother way about, although that might look odd against the lace) is your only option.

If you want to match the coral for shoes or bag you'll have to do it IRL, as you say it'd be easy to get a failed match. You could go with a definitely deeper coral and buy on line though.

Hmm, wasn't looking for lacy just what I found. Could you manage a mid-heel? There's a lot more choice there.

How about

www.katekanzier.com/product/9689312E-E3CB-4139-B1B9-24CF6F68A508/erica.aspx

It says grey, but it looks like a discrete colour...

UML · 26/06/2012 18:52

White may be ok, if its not pure white, and if its like suede or something....

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 26/06/2012 18:58

Yup, suede sounds good. D o you think off white / cream would work with the white dress UML? Hope so there's much more about.

Am at a bit of a loss on this one TBH, even though it's a beautiful dress.

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 26/06/2012 18:59

Meant ot say - Good shoes there!

UML · 26/06/2012 19:03

I think what dialsmavis referred to as 'puttyish' nude may work...

Need invisible shoes!

UML · 26/06/2012 19:04

How about these low wedges www.johnlewis.com/304697/Product.aspx - too old? too informal?

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 26/06/2012 19:39

Ahh, now I get it. Thanks Wink

These look quite invisible.

NoTeaForMe · 26/06/2012 22:15

I'm kind of glad you are finding it hard too! Thought it was just me!

The white part of the dress is made up of sequins not at all shiny or sparkly quite subtle but thought you should know its not lace!

Procrastination why do you think nude won't work? Because of the white? I'm finding it really hard!

Thanks for all your suggestions! There's some there I like!

CockBollocks I don't seem to be able to open the accessorize links.

CockBollocks · 26/06/2012 22:31

Sorry, they work for me. Maybe your on a mobile?

I do think you need to be brave with that colour and go for a bit of clashing!!

NoTeaForMe · 07/07/2012 23:23

Thanks for your help so far...any other ideas?!

I have just bought the very same dress today and have come on here to look for the same solutions, the lady in the shop suggested black accessories but I'm not so sure, hence visiting here!

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 09/07/2012 23:35
