I have never been one to have loads of make up:
Clinique super double face powder
Clinique tinted moisturiser
bourjois blush pot
Clinique black mascara
bourjois taupe eyeshadow
Clinique grapefruit lip balm
2 Clinique chubby sticks

Thats my lot.

Do you mean going out for the day or at home?

At home:
Bobbi Brown moisturising foundation, concealer, nude peach blusher and Walnut eye pencil
Clinique or B Brown eye shadow- in Totally Neutral browns or Slate/ Bone
Lippie- Clinique lip gloss or Rimmel Kate Moss lippie
Lancome Hypnose mascara

Out for the day- take concealer and lippie for touch ups and blusher if can carry.

I travel a lot. This is what I usually take with me:
A sample size of Hydra Beauty Serum by Chanel (full size at home).
Liquid foundation: either Revlon Colostay in Ivory or Chanel Lift Lumiere in Faience.
Chanel Joues Contraste blusher in Rose Ecrin.
Artdeco eyeshadow primer.
Chanel eyeshadow quad (Eclosion is my current favorite)
MAC 238 brush.
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque.
Guerlain Les Meteorites powder pearls, travel size.
Shiseido eyebrow pencil in Natural Black.
Chanel Coco Rouge lipsticks in Cambon and Gardenia.
Gloss d'Armani lip gloss.
A tiny sample size perfume bottle of Divine Bergamote by The Different Company.

If I'm going out I add Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner, maybe a By Terry eye shadow pen, more mascara and a Bobbi Brown lipstick.

No7 concealer stick - extra pale (it is the only cover that i've ever found that is not too dark or yellow for my skin)
No7 powder - the really pale one
No7 black eyeliner pencil (great for sensitive eyes)
Rimmel Black Mascara with curved brush
Rimmel matt black Eyeshadow (no sparkly bits)

Pale face & hair & lips and dark eyes is my look

Yup - that's me ready to go - can't stand the feel of lipstick or lipgloss

OP here. Thanks for the replies - food for thought here! Should have said: my make up bag is pretty miniscule:

a trio of Bobbi Brown shades (2 x eyeshadows, 1 x blusher)
a dark green eye pencil by Estee Lauder
a smoky purply eye pencil by Clinique (looks fab with green eyes)
a brown mascara (max factor I think)
tinted moisturiser.

This 'ere BB cream - seems to have passed me by . Can anyone enlighten me? What is it, what is it supposed to do?? :)

Day to day - BB tinted moisturiser with SPF , BB pot rouge in cabana coral, benefit they're real, BB lip balm. BB concealer and under eye thing if required/cba.

I use no 7 BB cream. It's like tinted moisturiser with built in primer, haven't touched my foundation since I bought it.

I leave all this at home and just put mac blot powder and the lipstick in my bag for touch ups.

I don't carry make up around with me, unless away overnight, except a lipstick which I rarely bother with anyway.

Day to day I use:

foundation (currently Max Factor but I don't like it much)
eyeshadow (Urban Decay Naked)
mascara (Lancome)
blusher (Benetint)
lipstick (either a Une sheer one or a Lancome red one)

I only carry powder compact and lippy when on the go or at work.

My daily make up is:
Nivea Tinted moisturiser
Une cream blush
No 7 face powder (down T zone)
Urban Decay eye shadow (any from Naked palettes)
Urban Decay eye pencil in Lucky
Max Factor Calorie 2000 Mascara in Black
No 7 Sheer Temptation Lippy or Urban Decay lip gloss in Naked
