I am puzzled by how old something has to be to be classed as vintage.

What say you Mumsnetters?

25 years is supposed to be the cut off. Although anything more than a year old seems to be classed as vintage by some.

Most would say 1980s or earlier.

Some would also count 90s as vintage.

I'd say pre-1980s but if you go to vintage fairs there's stuff that's barely a few years old.

A lot of 'second hand' get's bumped in with 'vintage'.

Drives me mental!!
