What's happened to my skin?

My face, particularly my forehead, seems terribly greasy. I would never had said that I had greasy skin, but in the last year or so it seems really oily. To the point that my fringe starts to look greasy later in the day where it touches my forehead, and my eyeshadow disappears into the creases in my eyes. I use the Clinique 3step system, using the gel moisturiser for oily skin rather than the lotion. What can I do? Am I using things that are too harsh and encouraging my skin to produce oil, or am I just turning into a greaseball? TIA.

Clinique can actually be quite harsh, it makes my skin oily too.

Try NO7 Hot cloth cleanser and see if that calms it down.

Clinique very stripping IMO

Use something creamier, and maybe a primer under make up?

Oooh if we are talking primers try YSL Matte touch. Lovely stuff, kept me looking nice when I got married.

I'm a new convert to Lush Ultrabland. It is a creamy cleanser and it says you should use it only for one month to bring skin back into balance. I haven't been using it for that long so can't verify that but it might be worth a try.
